Levi’s has partnered with Stüssy on a new capsule collection inspired by California.
The year 2023 commemorates the 150th anniversary of the iconic 501. In celebration of this significant milestone, Levi's has enthusiastically curated special collections in collaboration with notable names such as Nigo and New Balance. During the summer, the San Francisco-based company joined forces with Crocs to create a unique pair of clogs adorned with denim and now close off 2023 with their second Stussy collab of the year.
Both American companies, with origins in California, pay homage to the rugged landscape of their home state through their latest collaboration.
Levi's, famous for inventing jeans in 1873, has grown to have a global presence in over 110 countries. The assortment thus features a range of trucker jackets and jeans available in three distinctive colourways: black, brown, & pink. Jacquard fabric finished with two-tone garment dyes gives each piece a one-of-a-kind result with a washed vintage feel.
Based on the signature Levi’s oversized Type II Trucker Jacket, the Jacquard Trucker Jacket was designed with an extra roomy fit and a longer torso for extra style points. It is crafted with 2-ply jacquard twill fabric woven with Stüssy's signature pattern, a two-tone garment dye design and a co-branded patch and button shanks.
The jeans on the other hand were crafted with signature stitching one inch away from the seams and a wider J-stitch at the fly. They’re designed with stacking at the hem, a classic straight leg with a slightly looser cut, 5-pocket styling and a zip fly. Plus, just like the jacket Levi’s incorporated the same 2-ply jacquard twill fabric woven with Stüssy's signature pattern.
Levi's, synonymous with timeless denim, has become a symbol of rugged authenticity and casual style. Both brands continue to influence and shape contemporary fashion, blending heritage with innovation in their respective ways. Making this collab a must add to your wardrobe.
