VERDY is back at it with Nike SB, bringing a fresh twist to the beloved Nike SB Dunk Low. If you remember, VERDY first dressed up the Dunk Low through his project, Girls Don’t Cry, for Valentine’s Day back in 2019. Now, he’s pulling inspiration from his quirky character VISTY for a brand-new 2024 edition.

Verdy initially joined i the sneaker world with Nike SB in 2019 was a Japan-exclusive collab revolving around his globally acclaimed Girls Don’t Cry project. As a major figure in Japan’s creative scene, Verdy’s collaborations extend beyond Nike, having partnered with icons like Hiroshi Fujiwara, and brands such as Beats By Dre.

VISTY, the colourful creature that started as a plush toy in late 2021 is the star of this latest Dunk Low. The shoe’s design is as playful as the character, featuring a mix of pastel blues, greens, yellows, and pinks. Green, hairy material covers the toe box, midfoot, and tongue, while the pink Swooshes and collar add a fuzzy touch.

The blue corduroy overlays give the kicks a unique texture, and the yellow laces and midsole add an extra pop of color. All of this sits on top of a green rubber outsole, making this one of the most eye-catching SBs yet, evendrawing comparisons to the Grateful Dead SB pack.

As for when you can snag a pair, VERDY and Nike SB have kept things pretty hush-hush. But the good news is that these VISTY-themed kicks are set to drop on September 19 through Nike SNKRS and select skate shops. If you’re a fan of VERDY’s work or just love a good pair of SB Dunks, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for these!
